I make seasonal items all year long. I see berries on sale at the farmers market and there goes my Sunday, I'm making jam. My clients sign up for my Denise's Delights newsletter and that is how they get advised when I have items for sale.
Savory’s and Seasonal Items - all prices are subject to change
Oven dried tomatoes -
Canned in rosemary olive oil. These are wonderful for quick appetizers, served over pasta, on chicken. We use organic heirloom tomatoes when available.
Balsamic salad dressing -
This is a lighter version of balsamic dressing with mirin, walnut oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper. It has a slightly sweet flavor.
Blackberry Jam -
Big, ripe, beautiful blackberry's with a little sugar, and you get a special treat for your morning toast.
Fig Jam -
Depending on the season either fresh or dried figs are soaked in simple syrup and brandy then toasted hazelnuts are added. Serve with salty crackers and a hard salty cheese such as Manchego. This pares well with a white Grenache.
Peach Jam -
Organic white peaches are cooked with a splash of Grand Mariner and cinnamon. Eat in Greek yogurt or serve on toast.
Meyer Lemon Marmalade -
Organic meyer lemons are zested and juiced and cooked down with sugar to create a “wow” in your mouth.
Lemon Curd -
We use meyer lemons when we can get them. Use this on scones, or as a filling for a lemon tart. Also works well as a layer between cake.
Pear Apple Butter -
The combination of pears and apples cooked slowly in brown sugar and cinnamon make this a favorite.
